Texas Register: The current issue of the Texas Register is available at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg. The issue is posted for viewing no later than 5 p.m. on the issue date. Users wishing to be notified by e-mail when each issue is posted should e-mail register@sos.texas.gov.

Texas Administrative Code: The Texas Administrative Code is available at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/tac. This version of the Texas Administrative Code contains graphic material but is not keyword searchable.

Open Meetings: Current meeting notices filed by both state and regional agencies as well as past meeting notices are available at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/open.

E-mail Notification: Users choose agency(ies) they wish to receive email notification about. Email contains information about proposed, adopted, withdrawn and emergency rule submissions accepted for filing, including rule number(s), type of action, and Texas Register issue date. This service also includes notification of open meetings, requests for proposals, public hearing notices, and other miscellaneous submissions. To receive e-mail notification, determine which agencies you wish to be notified about and contact the Texas Register at 512-463-5561 or register@sos.texas.gov.

Searchable Databases for the Texas Register and Texas Administrative Code: Completely keyword searchable databases are available for both the Texas Register and Texas Administrative Code as well as historical information for both publications. Historical information for the Texas Administrative Code begins January 1, 1999. Historical information for the Texas Register begins with the January 28, 2000 issue and will accumulate as new issues of the Texas Register are published each Friday. Graphic material is included in these databases as well. Adopted rules are included in the Texas Administrative Code database on their effective date.

Texas Register: Paper subscriptions to the Texas Register are available from LexisNexis Matthew Bender & Company at a cost of $340 per year. The Texas Register is published each Friday and subscriptions are mailed via second-class mail service. First-class mail service is available at a cost of $502 per year. Texas Administrative Code: Customers may purchase excerpts of the Texas Administrative Code in print format at a cost of $.50 per rule by contacting the Texas Register staff at (512) 463-5561 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday only). Copies of individual chapters may be downloaded for free in a variety of formats by using our Public Document Request option.
