MEXICO CITY – Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos this week met with key government officials and private sector leaders on his introductory trip to Mexico as Secretary of State. After visiting the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, Secretary Pablos met with officials from SENER, Mexico’s energy ministry, to discuss prospects for future collaboration in the energy sector. Additionally, Secretary Pablos met with private sector leaders to identify opportunities for investment in Texas and exchange of ideas to further strengthen the Texas-Mexico relationship in the realm of cross-border economic development.

“I was highly encouraged by my meetings and discussions this week with public and private sector leaders in Mexico,” Secretary Pablos said. “By continuing a robust dialogue, Texas and Mexico can forge even stronger bonds and bring greater economic prosperity on both sides of the border. I would like to thank the leaders and officials who hosted me this week and showed their commitment to ensuring that our partnership continues to flourish.”
