AUSTIN, TX – On Sunday, June 2, Texas Secretary of State addressed National Notary Association members as a part of their annual conference, held in Austin.

As Secretary of State, Steen oversees the agency responsible for notary commissions in the state.

In his speech, Secretary Steen thanked the Texas notaries for their role in state business and legal matters.

“I want to say a special thank you to all the Texas notaries here tonight,” said Steen. “With more than 400,000 commissioned notaries, Texas could simply not do business without you.”

Steen also acknowledged the important work of notaries on a national level.

“As notaries, from across the United States, you help maintain the trust in business and legal proceedings to keep the wheels of commerce and justice moving,” said Steen.
