Introducing Texas Express Expedited Business Filings
As of October 1, 2025, the Office of the Secretary of State will offer tiers of expedited filing services. The initiative is designed to provide faster turnaround times for Texas businesses seeking critical filings, allowing companies to operate at the pace of today’s economy.
Same-Day and Next-Day transactions must occur in person. Our agency’s office is located at 1019 Brazos Street, Austin, Texas 78701. Email us at TexasExpress@sos.texas.gov to let us know when to expect your agent or courier.
Standard Expedited processing may be requested for documents and orders received by mail or by personal delivery. Please include a cover letter containing an email address and daytime phone number with a mailed or personal delivery instrument/order. The cover must specifically request expedited processing.
Same-Day Service
- Filings received by 12:00 p.m. will be processed by close of business the same day.
- $750 per document plus document plus the document filing fee
Next-Day Service
- Filings received by 12:00 p.m. will be processed by close of business the next business day.
- $500 per document plus document filing fee
Standard Expedited
- Filings will be processed before regular, non-expedited submissions, typically within 2-3 business days.
- $50 per document plus document filing fee
Time frame is the period of review. Requesting expedited service does not guarantee a filing, as each document is reviewed for specific statutory requirements. Business days exclude weekends and national, state, and agency holidays.
Same-Day and Next-Day Services are available for the following filing types:
- NEW: Certificate of Formation (domestic entities)
- Certificate of Conversion
- Certificate of Merger
- Certificate of Amendment (domestic entities)
- Restated Certificate of Formation (domestic entities)
- Certificate of Validation (domestic corporations)
Preclearance is strongly advised. Additional filing types will become eligible for same-day and next-day service in 2026.
