Appointed to the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors for a term to expire March 15, 2027, Elizabeth C. "Lizzy" Thomas of Fort Worth, Texas (replacing William O. "Will" Rodgers of Fort Worth, who resigned).

Appointed to the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors for a term to expire March 15, 2029, Richard C. "Carson" Dennis of Dallas, Texas (replacing Lisa A. Hembry of Dallas, whose term expired).

Appointed to the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors for a term to expire March 15, 2029, Jerry F. House, Sr., D.Min. of Leona, Texas (Dr. House is being reappointed).

Appointed to the Texas Real Estate Commission for a term to expire January 31, 2031, Kristi L. Davis of Carrollton, Texas (replacing Russel S. "Scott" Kesner of El Paso, whose term expired).

Appointed to the Texas Real Estate Commission for a term to expire January 31, 2031, James B. "J.B." Goodwin, Jr. of Austin, Texas (replacing Barbara A. Russell of Denton, whose term expired).

Designating Mark A. Woodroof of Houston as presiding officer of the Texas Real Estate Commission for a term to expire at the pleasure of the Governor. Mr. Woodroof is replacing Russel S. "Scott" Kesner of El Paso as presiding officer.

Proclamation 41-4180

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME:

WHEREAS, I, GREG ABBOTT, Governor of the State of Texas, issued a disaster proclamation on October 14, 2024, as amended and renewed in a subsequent proclamation, certifying that elevated fire weather conditions pose an imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life or property in several counties; and

WHEREAS, the Texas Division of Emergency Management has confirmed that those same elevated fire weather conditions persist in certain counties in Texas;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the authority vested in me by Section 418.014 of the Texas Government Code, I do hereby amend and renew the aforementioned proclamation and declare a disaster in Brewster, Culberson, Dimmit, Edwards, El Paso, Frio, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Kinney, La Salle, Maverick, Reeves, Terrell, Uvalde, Val Verde, Webb, and Zavala Counties.

Pursuant to Section 418.017 of the Texas Government Code, I authorize the use of all available resources of state government and of political subdivisions that are reasonably necessary to cope with this disaster.

Pursuant to Section 418.016 of the Texas Government Code, any regulatory statute prescribing the procedures for conduct of state business or any order or rule of a state agency that would in any way prevent, hinder, or delay necessary action in coping with this disaster shall be suspended upon written approval of the Office of the Governor. However, to the extent that the enforcement of any state statute or administrative rule regarding contracting or procurement would impede any state agency's emergency response that is necessary to protect life or property threatened by this declared disaster, I hereby authorize the suspension of such statutes and rules for the duration of this declared disaster.

In accordance with the statutory requirements, copies of this proclamation shall be filed with the applicable authorities.

Proclamation 41-4181

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME:

WHEREAS, I, GREG ABBOTT, Governor of the State of Texas, do hereby certify that catastrophic failure of the City of Marlin's public drinking water system resulted in a water outage that poses an imminent threat to public health and safety in Falls County;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the authority vested in me by Section 418.014 of the Texas Government Code, I do hereby declare a state of disaster in Falls County based on the existence of such threat;

Pursuant to Section 418.017 of the code, I authorize the use of all available resources of state government and of political subdivisions that are reasonably necessary to cope with this disaster.
