Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
Rule Review Plan

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department submits the following plan to the Texas Register, Governor, and Legislative Budget Board for review of its rules in accordance with House Bill 1, 75th Legislature, Regular Session, 1997, Article IX, §167.

The Department will conduct a review of its rules in Title 31, Natural Resources and Conservation, in the following order, by chapters; however, the commission may review a chapter as part of routine rulemaking before a scheduled review date if it is necessary to propose amendments to sections within a chapter. The timeline for review of each chapter is as follows:

Chapter 51. Executive - to be completed in November 2008

Chapter 52. Wildlife and Fisheries - to be completed in November 2008

Chapter 53. Finance - to be completed in January 2009

Chapter 55. Law Enforcement - to be completed in November 2008

Chapter 57. Fisheries - to be completed in March 2009

Chapter 58. Oysters and Shrimp - to be completed in November 2009

Chapter 59. Parks - to be completed in January 2009

Chapter 61. Design and Construction - to be completed in November 2008

Chapter 65. Wildlife - to be completed in March 2009

Chapter 69. Resource Protection - to be completed in January 2009
