The Texas State Board of Public Accountancy plans to conduct a review of its rules pursuant to §2001.039 of the Government Code according to the following schedule:

July 2003: Begin review of Chapters 501 (Rules of Professional Conduct) and 523 (Continuing Professional Education).

September 2003: Begin review of Chapters 515 (Licenses), 517 (Temporary Practice in Texas) and 521 (Fee Schedule).

November 2003: Begin review of Chapters 511 (Certification as a CPA), 512 (Certification by Reciprocity), 513 (Registration) and 525 (Criminal Background Investigations).

January 2004: Begin review of Chapters 505 (The Board), 507 (Employees of the Board), 509 (Rulemaking Procedures) and 519 (Practice and Procedure).

March 2004: Begin review of Chapter 526 (Board Opinions) and 527 (Peer Review).
