Texas Workforce Commission
Rule Review Plan - Revised
As a result of the General Appropriations Act, Article IX, §167, 75th Legislature, each state agency was required to develop a plan for the review of its agency rules by August 31, 2001, and was required to file its rule review plan with the Texas Register. The Texas Workforce Commission filed its rule review plan on February 9, 1998. The following legislative session, the requirement that all agency rules be reviewed every four years was codified in Government Code §2001.039. The legislation which added §2001.039 extended the ultimate deadline for the initial four-year review of agency rules to August 31, 2003. (See Acts 1999, 76th Legislature, Chapter 1499, Article 1.) This legislation further required that each agency file an amended plan by August 31, 2000, describing how the agency will review all rules not previously reviewed prior to September 1, 1999.
The following table shows the amended plan for the review of each of the Commission rule chapters, which are located in Title 40, Part 20 of the Texas Administrative Code.
