Rule Review Plan

In accordance with 2001.039, Government Code, and 1.11(b), Chapter 1499, Acts of the 76th Legislature, 1999, the Texas Ethics Commission (the Commission) submits the following review plan of its rules under Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code.

Beginning in September 2002, the Commission will review Chapter 18 (General Rules Concerning Reports).

Beginning in September 2002, the Commission will review Chapter 20 (Reporting Political Contributions and Expenditures).

Beginning in September 2002, the Commission will review Chapter 22 (Restrictions on Contributions and Expenditures).

Beginning in September 2002, the Commission will review Chapter 24 (Restrictions on Contributions and Expenditures Applicable to Corporations and Labor Organizations).

Beginning in October 2002, the Commission will review Chapter 50 (Legislative Salaries & Per Diem).

Beginning in January 2003, the Commission will review Chapter 6 (Organization and Administration).

Beginning in January 2003, the Commission will review Chapter 8 (Advisory Opinions).

Beginning in January 2003, the Commission will review Chapter 10 (Ethics Training Programs).

Beginning in September 2003, the Commission will review Chapter 12 (Sworn Complaints).

Beginning in September 2003, the Commission will review Chapter 40 (Financial Disclosure for Public Officials).

Beginning in December 2003, the Commission will review Chapter 26 (Political and Legislative Advertising).

Beginning in March 2004, the Commission will review Chapter 28 (Reports by a Candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives).

Beginning in June 2004, the Commission will review Chapter 34 (Regulation of Lobbyists).
