For Rules Adopted Prior to September 1, 1997

In accordance with Section 167, Article IX, HB 1, 75th Legislature, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board submits the following plan for review of its rules which were in effect on September 1, 1997.

Between January 1999 and July 2001, the Board will review the following rules.

Chapter 1, Agency Administration

Chapter 5, Program Development

Chapter 8, Creation, Expansion, Dissolution, or Conservatorship of Public Community/Junior College Districts

Chapter 9, Program Development in Public Community/Junior College Districts and Technical Colleges

Chapter 10, Institutional Effectiveness in Public Community/Junior College Districts and Technical Colleges

Chapter 11, Texas State Technical Colleges

Chapter 12, Proprietary Schools

Chapter 13, Financial Planning

Chapter 17, Campus Planning

Chapter 21, Student Services

Chapter 25, Optional Retirement Program

Each of these chapters of rules will be scheduled for review by being placed on the agenda of a Board meeting for consideration of re-adoption. The review of a chapter will be handled as any other rule action. Higher education institutions will receive a copy of the agenda at least 30 days before the Board considers the chapter as a proposed re-adoption, and will be invited to provide comments about each rule. Notice of the proposed action taken by the Board will be filed with the Texas Register so as to appear in the register at least 30 days prior to re- adoption.
