The Texas Department of Agriculture (Department) adopts amendments to Title 4, Part 1, Subchapter B, Division 7, §30.242, relating to the selection of grant applicants for the Rural Communities Health Care Investment Program, without changes to the December 1, 2017, issue of the Texas Register (42 TexReg 6669). The amendments clarify the roll of advisors to the application process and funding eligibility requirements.
No comments were received on the proposal.
The adoption is made under Texas Government Code, Chapter 487, Subchapter M, which provides the Department with the authority to administer programs supporting rural health in this state, namely the Rural Communities Health Care Investment Program, and §487.556, which provides authority for the Department to adopt rules as necessary to implement Chapter 487, Subchapter M.
The code affected by the adoption is Texas Government Code Chapter 487.
The agency certifies that legal counsel has reviewed the adoption and found it to be a valid exercise of the agency's legal authority.
