The Secretary of State’s Office will be deploying a new version of TEAM over the extended Labor Day weekend. This version release will have expanded FPCA functionality and absentee ballot tracking for compliance with the MOVE Act. Training classes will be offered on Sunday, August 22nd and Thursday, August 26th to accommodate travel to the County Officials Seminar. We will also be setting up short Web-Ex classes (travel-free) where counties can sign up for training on the new functionality. Information regarding these classes will be forthcoming.
We have also revised the voter import and voting history import layouts to accommodate the submission of the FPCA (SC90) and corresponding voting history information. We have been working closely with the vendors and offline counties over the summer for input and testing on the functionality and layouts. The new file layouts, appendix and a copy of the memorandum distributed in June are attached for reference. Please remember, if your county submits either the voter import or voting history imports, the new formats will be the only acceptable form of transmission once we deploy the new version of TEAM. If the old format of either of these file layouts is submitted after September 7, 2010 they will be rejected due to improper format.
Listed below is a schedule of the deployment:
- September 2nd (Thursday) – Noon – all voter imports need to be submitted by noon on September 1st to ensure processing before system is brought down.
- September 2nd (Thursday) – TEAM is brought down at 6:00 PM (any imports submitted after the noon hour will have to be resubmitted in the new formats).
- September 3rd (Friday) through September 6th (Monday) – TEAM is down for version deployment and not accessible.
- September 7th (Tuesday) – TEAM is back up and operational.
All reports will be saved and available in the counties’ Report Queue. We have scheduled this version release to lessen inconvenience to the county users. We are pleased with the new functionality and the advancements in TEAM that accommodate this important federal mandate.
