AUSTIN, TX – The Office of the Secretary of State is pleased to announce that all issues of the Texas Register are now available in electronic format online.

“Thank you to the University of North Texas Libraries for making all editions of the Texas Register easily and quickly available to Texans,” said Texas Secretary of State Hope Andrade.

A weekly publication, the Texas Register serves as the journal of state agency rulemaking for Texas. Issues are available as part of The Portal to Texas History portion of the University of North Texas Libraries (UNTL) website.

UNTL began adding issues of the Texas Register to its website in 2000, and began migrating the information to The Portal to Texas History in 2009. As of September 2012, all issues of the Texas Register beginning with the very first publication from 1976 are available at http://texashistory.unt.edu/explore/collections/TR/.

Previously, only issues from 1991 to the present were available at the UNTL website. The Office of the Secretary of State posts the current issue as well as approximately one year of previous issues on its site.

This project was completed at no cost to the Office of the Secretary of State. UNTL provided the work and covered the expenses to make all editions of the Texas Register available online. UNTL also maintains the electronic archive of signed legislative bills and a listing of open meeting agendas which is updated daily.
