Secretary Andrade Addresses Leadership Garland

AUSTIN (December 16, 2011) – Texas Secretary of State Hope Andrade spoke to Leadership Garland last week, with more than 400 business and community leaders in attendance.
Secretary Andrade discussed her path to state leadership, and how she uses her role to improve the Texas economy and inspire the next generation of Texas leaders.
“If you would have passed by me while walking down the street, you would have never guessed that I’d become Secretary of State,” she said.
The Secretary said that working in the thriving economic climate of Texas helped her to become a successful small business owner and then a strong state leader.
“You are in the state that everyone wants to be in,” Secretary Andrade said. “If you are in business, you are in the right place.”
Leadership Garland, which is in its 31st year, is a program of the Garland Chamber of Commerce.
